Game guide · 371HOTEL

The essentials of playing Sevens

Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. Start a new round when you are ready to try again. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.

Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.

A focus for your next round

Keep the goal in view while choosing a move. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end. The game area remains available above the explanation.

What counts as success

Begin with the basic rule, then follow the result of your action. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

Follow these playing steps

  1. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
  2. The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
  3. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
  4. Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
  5. The first player with an empty hand wins the round.

Input guidance

Check the rule below as you play. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled. The game area remains available above the explanation.

Work through an example

A careful first move helps you understand the round. After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

Avoid this misunderstanding

The board gives you the information needed for the next action. A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence. The game area remains available above the explanation.
